My son is considering applying to Dartmouth and he wants to know what proportion of students major in mathematics, computer science, chemistry and physics?

Over the past five years, 23% of the majors completed by Dartmouth undergraduates were in the sciences, including math, computer science, chemistry and physics. Among 2006 graduates, 38 majored in math, 16 in computer science, 28 in chemistry and 18 in physics and astronomy. Incidentally, among all 2006 graduates, 544 had a single major; 262 had a major and a minor; 9 had one major and two minors; 202 had two majors; 11 had two majors and a minor, and 1 had three majors. The five most-popular majors among 2006 graduates were economics, government, psychological and brain sciences, history, and English.
