Admissions & Financial Aid

What does need-blind admissions mean?

Dartmouth admits students without regard to their financial background. The College provides 100 percent of admitted students' demonstrated financial need. This is a long-standing value of Dartmouth and it contributes significantly to the quality and strength of the College.

Dartmouth is not need-blind with international students except for those coming from Canada and Mexico or through the United World College Program. Sixty-six percent of international students receive financial aid, compared to around 45 percent of domestic students, and the average aid package for international students is higher.
