Admissions & Financial Aid

Would you kindly give me the details of the Wheelock Scholar Program?

Certainly. The Wheelock Scholarship allows students from the town of Wheelock, VT, who have gained admission to Dartmouth through the normal selection process, to enroll without having to pay tuition. The scholarship does not apply to room, board and other fees and costs associated with attending the College. The program was developed in response to the town's generosity in the early years of Dartmouth's existence, and there are eligibility requirements that include residency verification for the student and his or her parents. It is the only non-need-based financial aid given by the College. There have been eight Wheelock Scholars in the past 166 years.
