Alumni

I've heard a lot about Dartmouth's alumni involvement. Just what is it that alumni do for the College, besides donate money?

In short: they do a lot. Dartmouth's alumni involvement is legendary, and for good reason. Each year graduates of the College:

  • spend more than 230,000 hours volunteering for Dartmouth
  • interview more than 7,000 applicants for admission (about half the applicant pool)
  • support approximately one-third of the College's operating budget through contributions
  • participate in a mentor network 18,000 strong for advice on careers to students and other alumni
  • provide more than 180 student scholarships each year through classes and clubs.
