Mindy Kaling, who plays Kelly Kapoor on NBC’s “The Office,” is a 2001 graduate of Dartmouth. Kaling is also co-executive producer and writer of several episodes of the Emmy Award-winning comedy. As an undergraduate, Kaling co-wrote and starred in the play “Matt and Ben,” about actors Ben Affleck (whom Kaling played) and Matt Damon. She was a member of the Dog Day Players improvisational comedy group, and was the author of “Badly Drawn Girl,” a comic in the student newspaper The Dartmouth.
