Dartmouth has no formal policy on non-recruited, or “walk-on” athletes. In any given season, a team may be made up of a number of walk-ons, especially considering that there are different recruiting constraints from sport to sport. Some teams, such as crew or sailing, have a significant walk-on presence, while others take a few walk-ons to fill out their rosters.
