This site seems a little stuffy. Does Dartmouth have a sense of humor?

Well, we'd sure like to think so. Early on, when we first launched "Ask Dartmouth," many of the questions asked were of a serious nature, reflecting some of the major issues facing the College right now. Those questions continue to come in, and we've tried to answer them in a straightforward manner, which might look a little stuffy. But when we get fun or interesting questions, we hope to answer and post them, too. Like the question about TV comedian Stephen Colbert, who in his "biography" claims a Dartmouth degree; or why the main doors to Dartmouth Hall are always locked; or whether or not Captain Kangaroo was really a Dartmouth graduate. One of our favorite questions to date has to do with the goldfish swimming in Occom Pond. (We're working on the answer to that now.) So stay tuned. And ask us a humorous question. You might be surprised at the answer you get.
