Quick, without looking, what's the color of the clock face on Baker Tower?
It's a very light shade of purple. Why purple? Director of Facilities Operations & Management John Gratiot tells us that the clock faces are not painted: they're frosted glass. The purple tint is a result of the darkened clockworks behind the faces. (And no, we didn't peek. We’ve seen the color before, in the wonderful photos of College Photographer Joseph Mehling.)
