Who’s buried in the Dartmouth Cemetery?

The original slate gravestone of Dartmouth founder and first President Eleazar Wheelock. The stone was discovered during a 1991 restoration of Wheelock's grave, buried beneath Wheelock's current marble gravestone. This slate stone was removed from the site and is now in storage at the College. (photo by Joseph Mehling '69)
