What is the status of Zeta Psi?

The College derecognized Zeta Psi fraternity in 2001 following incidents of targeted harassment that violated Dartmouth's Standards of Conduct. The fraternity has recently accepted responsibility for their actions and apologized for their conduct. This has paved the way for them to start the process of regaining College recognition. The organization has agreed to stop operating as an unrecognized organization and will remain closed for three years. The organization plans either to renovate or replace the existing house on Webster Avenue. Once that facility work is completed, the Zeta Psi Alumni Corporation and Zeta Psi Fraternity of North America will begin the process of College re-recognition. Dartmouth and Zeta Psi are hopeful that a new and much stronger "Zete" will emerge from this process.
