The "Dartmouth Experience" is many things to many people, and the answer depends on whom you ask. It is much, much more than a collection of courses taken. The Dartmouth Experience calls on shared experiences, relationships, common values, and traditions that bind generations of Dartmouth students, faculty, alumni, and staff together. It incorporates the life of the body and the life of mind, from classrooms to residence halls, from laboratories to athletic fields, and from first-year trips in the New Hampshire wilderness to foreign study programs abroad. In the end, it comes down to Dartmouth's commitment to learning, and a strong sense of community that is a distinguishing characteristic of the College.
